Garden House is not merely built around the trees, however, in places, suspended – hovering above floor to guard tree root zones. While the methods have not modified tremendously since the first sketches, the addition of curves was one thing that the house owners had been very keen to see. The authentic aesthetic was rectilinear, much like THAT House. Inspired by the house owners, Austin Maynard Architects added curved corrugated metallic, curved internal walls and an inset curved concrete slab.
